We're excited to welcome the Sloan Street Community Garden into the Preston's Paradise network this spring. We got a small grant to combine some of our labor to offer food from both gardens at our mobile Farm Stand and possibly at a new market in the West Powelton neighborhood. We'll also be helping Sloan Street rebuild some of their garden beds and install a new rainwater catchment system!
We're also looking forward to accessing the wealth of knowledge that the Sloan Street gardeners have to expand our workshop series again this year. Look forward to some great classes, some happening in the commercial kitchen at the People's Emergency Center. As always, we'd love to hear from you about workshops you'd love to see and also presenters (including you!) that you feel would be an addition to our lineup.
