We've gotten a lot of attention lately and want to welcome all the new folks to our online community. Click the About page above to learn more about who we are and what we do.
The update: Spring garden builds are happening quickly! We've already installed over 25 food plots at 7 different sites throughout the neighborhood, and several more are in the works for this week. We've got a great group of committed volunteers that are helping to build and maintain the main garden sites and we should be harvesting the first crops within a few weeks. We're toying around with the idea of giving each of our participating households a coupon for our farmer's market instead of delivering a mixed box of vegetables to their door. This way they'll have more choice over what they have available and can save up coupons for those extra special purchases! Still floating around ideas of how to get the most food into people's bellies. Make sure you stay tuned for the return of the Preston's Paradise brunch series! It was a huge success last year and people ask me about it every week. We're still looking for a cook or two, so if you know someone that would like to donate their time and experience behind the griddle, please let us know. There's a rumor in the wind that we might be able to get the fine folks from Brown Sugar over here, which I'm sure will bring you all out of winter hiding. That's all the news for now, hope you like our new website format. Keep it breezy on the straight and easy. PS - Check out this new article in the city paper which we were heavily interviewed for but then got cut at the very end. :( PPS - Here's a nice blog with an oblique reference to Suzanna. :)
