Farm Stand

One of our most exciting programs is the weekly mobile Farm Stand selling fresh produce and value-added items to our neighbors.  The Farm Stand operates out of a unique little rolling cart built for us by our friends at the University of the Arts.  Any produce that doesn't get distributed through community meals or our CSA network ends up here.

Our prices reflect what we feel is an affordable price for our community and a fair price for our growers.  This is a hard line to toe sometimes in communities like ours and we are always trying new and different alternatives to cash-based economies.  We're excited in the upcoming season to try a sliding-scale system where customers can choose what price category they identify with.  This model has been used with success at City Slicker Farms in Oakland and we feel it's a great way to engage the community in valuing local products.

Check back in the spring when we resume our weekly farm stand for the full list of produce.  We carry most seasonal items including fruit.  If you are interested in homemade jam or our hand-pounded sauerkraut during the off-season, feel free to contact us.
